Llanrwst made it through to the quarter finals of the Mawddach Challenge Cup after an impressive first half performance against a tough Greenfield side.
Leighton Griffiths men were going in to the game confident after a convincing win last week against St Asaph.
Rwsters scored the opening goal of the game on 40 minutes. Gwyn Jones scoring directly from a corner kick. A great delivery deceived everyone, including the greenfield goalkeeper Danny Stanton, resulting in the ball bouncing in to the top right hand corner.
Llanrwst made it 2-0 shortly after, great work from front man Mez knight led to a Greenfield mistake at the back, he played it through to unmarked Elliot Llewellyn who calmly slotted it past the goalkeeper. 43 mins.
At the other end, goalkeeper Gwydion Owen pulled off a string of saves to keep the Rwsters ahead, one of which has to be one of the saves of the season, tipping the ball wide of the post from what looked a certain goal.
Second half didn't see any goals, but wasn't short of action.
