St Asaph 1-4 LLanrwst Utd

March 12, 2018

St Asaph v llanrwst was one of only 5 games to go ahead this weekend, and llanrwst utd will be very happy with the performance.

Luke Roberts found himself one on one with the keeper within the first 5 minutes but blazed it over the bar,  this was a sign of things to come.

The hosts struggled with the pace of Roberts and found themselves 1-0 down after 24 minutes, great build up play from the Rwsters, a delicious first time cross by Roberts and knight was in the right place with a great header.

8 minutes later it was 2, Roberts again beating his man for pace and delivering an inch perfect cross to Mez Knight who finished well.

It didn't take long after the half for Llanrwst to get going, Roberts found himself clean through, St Asaph defence were never going to catch him and he dispatched with confidence, giving the keeper no chance.

St Asaph pulled one back through Josh Taylor in the 63rd minute, a well taken goal and a sense of optimism was restored amongst the home side. However that was short lived as the 3 goal lead was restored 5 minutes later, veteran Leighton Griffiths dispatching a penalty ensuring all 3 points were safe.
