Q&A With our new recruits!

February 12, 2018

Welcome back Sam!

You played a few games towards the end of last season, so how does it feel to be back?

I got a feel for adult football towards the end of last season and was an eye opener to say the least, big change between youth and adult football for me, much more physical game but i felt i coped well, feels good to be back playing adult football again as i feel i need it to develop my game further.

You started against Trearddur Bay - How did you see that game? How did you see your own performance?

I thought the game went well from our perspective, we played some good football, defended well and saw off the attacks that came on late in the second half by T/Bay and deserved the 3 points.

I was happy in all with my performance as i felt i coped well with the demand of the game and i'm looking forward for the rest of the season.

In the last couple of seasons, the management team have shown a lot of trust in the younger players - Whats your thoughts on this?

I think giving us youngsters an opportunity is a very good thing as we can offer a different style to the more mature heads in the team with our stamina and pace and its good for our future development

Are any of them capable of playing at a higher standard in years to come?

I feel that many of the lads can go on and play at a good standard but i believe Morgan Owen is more than capable of playing at a much higher standard if he puts his head to it.

Where do you see us finishing this season?

I believe LLanrwst will finish top five for sure this year, it would be nice to get in the top three though.

Welcome to the Club Mez

How does it feel to sign for LLanrwst Utd?

It feels great to sign for LLanrwst Utd, and to be back playing football again.

You made your debut away to Pwllheli, the started the last game at Trearddur Bay - How did you see your own performances in those games?

Both performances could have been better, i feel i was lacking a bit of match fitness.

Barry & Rhodri have been after your signature for the last couple of years - What made you think now was the right time to come on board?

Rhodri calling me 15 times a day.....and a good bunch of lads!

Between now and the end of the season, where do you see us finishing?

I believe we will finish in the top three.

Welcome to the Club Scott

How does it feel to sign for LLanrwst Utd?

It feels great to have signed for LLanrwst and i cant wait to get started.

Im told you were in the squad for last weekends game at Blaenau but unfortunately the game was called off - Are you excited to make your debut?

Yes, i cant wait to play my first match. I was gutted when it got called off.

Tell us a bit about yourself - What kind of player are you?

Im 20 years old, i have played for LLandudno Junction, Glan Conwy, Pen Phoenix and now i've signed for LLanrwst. Im a player with a lot of energy and will always give 100%.

You played in a couple of pre season games a few years ago but decided to sign for Pen Phoenix, So what made you decide that now's the right time to sign?

I want to paly at the highest standard as i possible can, i think LLanrwst is the perfect place for me to achieve that.

How do you see the rest of the season going?

Very well, we are in a very good position in the league.

Finally Scott, you played for Glan Conwy in the Welsh Alliance Division One three years ago, are you glad to be back at this standard?

Yes, cant wait to get back playing in Division One.
