LLanberis 2-2 LLanrwst Utd

August 31, 2017

Llanrwst made the trip to llanberis on a glorious day, looking to maintain their 100% record. Again the rwsters had to make changes to the midweek game, with vastly experience goalkeeper Paul Roberts and younger brother Morgan Roberts being drafted in to the starting 11.

First half was a stalemate with both clubs cancelling each other out, both teams creating half chances but failing to break the deadlock. Morgan Roberts & Callum Parry coming the closest for the Rwsters.

Thr second half was a different story with 4 goals. Llanberis started much brighter and scored twice in 10 minutes to go 2-0 on the hour mark.

The first coming after clever work down the left by Adam Hughes, the llanberis winger beating his man and putting it on a plate for jason jones to tap in.

Second goal came 5 minutes later, a long throw in caused havoc in the box, bad defending from the rwsters gave Jonathan Cyster a chance to head home and double the scoreline, at the second chance of asking.

This was a wake up call for the rwsters and they started to take the game to the hosts. After good hold up play from Callum Parry out on the left, he squared the ball for Hedd Williams who couldn't miss.

The rwsters were now in control and were causing problems for Llanberis, free scoring defender Steffan Whiteley levelled the scoreline on 75 minutes scoring from a corner, both teams had chances late on to win but the match ended in a draw.
