4 New Signings

March 31, 2017

LLanrwst Utd have added four new signings to the club this week. It was important that the Club added numbers to the squad as the club have 19 games to between now and the end of April.

Sam Roberts:

Centre half Sam Roberts has signed on for the reminder of the season as the 1st Team have 12 games left. Sam is part of the impressive GAP Connah's Quay U19's squad, and has recently been selected for the Welsh Schools Squad, who are playing Northern Ireland on Wednesday April 12th at Cardiff Met FC.

Sam Roberts commented: 'I cant wait to get started'

Manager Barry Owen commented: 'Im delighted that we were able to Sign Sam. He knows how much i rate him as a player, He's a massive talent. Im sure he will come in and do very well for us'.

Luke Roberts:

Former player Luke Roberts has Transferred back from Machno Utd. Luke has played Welsh Alliance football for many years but decided that he needed a fresh challenge in the summer and signed for local rivals Machno Utd. That moved proved to be a success as Luke has scored many goals and has many assists this year.

Manager Barry Owen Commented: I was disappointed to lose Luke in the summer but understood his reasons. Now that he's back, i expect to see Luke ready to hit the ground running. He will be an important player for us between now and the end of the season as he's fast, tricky and will score goals.

Sam Tidswell:

Sam is the Son of former player and Joint Manager Mally Tidswell, and he has Transferred from fellow Welsh Alliance Club, Glan Conwy.

'Tids' is a young talented player, that is keen to improve his own game and wants to do well for the club. He's also under the guidance of (Assistant Manager) Rhodri Davies at the football academy in Llandrillo College and doing really well.

Manager Barry Owen Commented: Sam comes in, already knowing majority of the squad. He will start off in our reserves to get some minutes under his belt, but i'm sure he will take his opportunity and will be with our 1st team before the end of the season.

 Ben Warr Jones:

Ben Transfers from high flying Welsh Alliance Division 2 side, Mochdre Sports.

He has been unlucky with injuries this year, he's missed the majority of the season so far after suffering an injury to his adductor in pre season.

Manager Barry Owen Commented: Ben hasn't played much football this year due to injuries but now that he's over them, he's ready for the up coming games. Again, Ben will start with the Reserves to improve his match sharpness and will then fight for a place in our 1st team.

Welcome to the Club!

LLanrwst Utd would like to thank GAP Connah's Quay, Machno Utd, Glan Conwy & Mochdre Sports for assisting us with the smooth transfers
