Llanrwst Utd travelled to Gwalchmai, for the last game of the season. A ground Llanrwst always seem to struggle on. Yet again, injuries were once again evident, with Bryn Jenkins, Gene Faulkes, Nidian Jones and Ryan Watson unavailable.
Llanrwst started slow, and couldn't seem to get to grips with the heat and poor surface. Things went from bad to worse for the Rwsters, Al Roberts was forced off after 20 minutes with a hamstring strain. On came Chris Nicolson, who slotted into Right Back. This meant Ciran Jones was moved into centre midfield alongside captain Gwyn Jones. The best chance of the half fell to Aron Jones, his shot missing the target by inches. Aron Jones was also playing through the pain barrier, playing with suspected broken ribs after a collision with the Llanberis Keeper on Monday. HT.
Llanrwst Utd started the second half the better side, Elliot Llywelyn and Luke Roberts causing problems on the wings. On 55minutes Aron Jones was forced off, on came Craig Carpenter. Elliot moved to the 'Number 10 role' and Carpenter out wide, Callum Parry as the last man. However with all the changes, Llanrwst looked like the team that would go on to score and pick up all 3 points. On 72 minutes, a great ball down the left by the ever improving Matt Mullender, who found Llywellyn and he jinked passed 2 defenders and found Ciran Jones unmarked 12 yards from goal. His neat control and a great half volley hammered the back of the net. 1-0. Gwalchmai couldn't break the Rwsters down. Prolific Goalscorer Marc Griffiths and Corey Sinnott having a frustrating afternoon. FT 0-1
