Llanrwst welcomed Glan Conwy to Gwydir Park for a 6.30 KO. Glan Conwy were coming off a great 3 points, away at Llanberis whilst the Rwsters were disappointed not to take all 3 points in a hard battling performance against Llanrug Utd.
With the Playing surface in a poor state, this was never going to be a thrilling game, both teams playing long ball. On 22 minutes the first bit of controversy came, Llanrwst Young forward Callum Parry chested the ball around the Glan Conwy keeper and went down under his challenge but referee Peter Kewely waved away the appeals.
Both teams started the second half brightly, with Alan Roberts and Matt Mullender putting in some dangerous crosses and Niall Owen and Joel Doran having joy down the flanks for Glan Conwy. On 66 minutes a great cross by Roberts to the far post, Jamie Turner winning the header and captain Gwyn Jones struck a half volley that was blocked by Glan centre half, Moorehouse. The Rwsters best chance of the game came on 71 mins, neat play down the right between Roberts and Elliot Llywellyn before the ball landed at the feet of Matt Mullender who couldn't beat the Glan Keeper at his near post. With the Resters pilling on the pressure, Glan scored the vital first goal on the break, Niall Owen out pacing the injured Leighton Griffiths and playing a ball through to Andy Booker who seemed to be 2 yards off side but linesman Alan Cureton kept his flag down and Booker scored passed Paul Roberts.
