An Act Of Pure Vandalism

March 22, 2016

The latest spate of vandalism at Llanrwst Utd Football Club has been labelled as a ‘kick in the teeth,’ by a club’s spokesman. “It’s a further example of the antisocial behaviour we are seeing as a result of bored youths.”

Dugouts were trampled on, which has left all connected with the club frustrated with the culprits. ”This club is run entirely on volunteers who give up their own time to do things, and we give something to the community, and youths of the town and they do this. The vandalism comes after the Cricket Club was targeted in the last few years.

Recently the ground was targeted by vandals who burnt seats and ripped some seats out of their stand, causing damage as well as dog mess being left at the ground.

He said: “The dugouts are repairable, but doing these things for the youths seems to be backfiring, a group of youths vandalised the good work by smashing bottles and littering as well.

Anyone with information about who was responsible for the vandalism should get in contact with the police by telephoning 101.” We are determined not to give in to the vandals.“I would ask anyone who knows anything about the attack to get in contact with the police as soon as they can.”
