Llanrwst Utd came away with no points after twice taking the lead, but visitors Mynydd LLandegai took all the points. 

Rwsters couldn't have asked for better start, Aron Hughes scoring inside a minute. Elliot llewellyn clipped a perfect through ball over the defence and Hughes gave the keeper no chance with a great side foot volley.

Llanrwst made it through to the quarter finals of the Mawddach Challenge Cup after an impressive first half performance against a tough Greenfield side.

Leighton Griffiths men were going in to the game confident after a convincing win last week against St Asaph.

St Asaph v llanrwst was one of only 5 games to go ahead this weekend, and llanrwst utd will be very happy with the performance.

Luke Roberts found himself one on one with the keeper within the first 5 minutes but blazed it over the bar,  this was a sign of things to come.

Llanrwst Utd progressed to the next round of the Mawddach Challenge Cup with an emphatic 1-6 victory over Blaenau Amateurs on Saturday. The fixture was played at Maes Tegid, the home of Welsh Premier League club, Bala Town.

Both clubs had agreed to hire the 3G at Bala due to the fixture being postponed for the past four weeks due to Cae Clyd, (Home of Blaenau Amateurs) & Gwydir Park (Home of Llanrwst Utd) being waterlogged.

The Rwsters started 2018 with a hard fought victory away to Pwllheli.
Barry Owen was forced in four changes from the team that beat Nantlle Vale on the 30th of December. Paul Roberts was replaced in goal by Gwydion Owen, Steffan Whiteley came back into the team after his holiday, Whiteley replaced Barry Jones. Morgan Roberts and Gwyn Jones both missed out due to injury (head and eye respectively).

As the away fixture on the opening day, Llanrwst Utd would come out victorious, this time at Gwydir Park.
